Since 1980 I have provided legal representation to hundreds of disabled individuals seeking benefits from Social Security.

I have represented individuals from the earliest stages of their disability claims through federal court when needed.

From 1980 through 1990 I worked for Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance in Illinois. I was the Health and Welfare Task Force Coordinator there from 1985-1990. I worked for Connecticut Legal Services as the Managing Attorney for the Willimantic and Rockville offices from 1991 through 1995. From 1995 through 2006 I worked as an Associate of Sheldon A. Mossberg in his Social Security Disability practice. Since May 2006 I have had my own practice in Manchester, Connecticut, dedicated to Social Security disability cases.

In May 1977 I earned my BSW (Bachelor of Social Work) degree from the University of Illinois

May 1980 I earned my JD (Juris Doctor) degree from the University of Iowa.

Spanish Fluency

I learned to speak Spanish under the guidance of an excellent high school teacher, whose enthusiasm and love of the language was contagious. I studied abroad at UNAM in Mexico City, helping me develop fluency. These days my Spanish-speaking clients indulge me in my love of speaking the language and help me develop my fluency still further.

Professional Memberships

I am a sustaining member of The National Association of Social Security Claims Representatives (NOSSCR - http://www.nosscr.org/) and am a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and its Disability Law Section. I participate in the Manchester Bar Association, the Tolland County Bar Association, and the Windham County Bar Association.

Speaking and Training

I have provided many training seminars to attorneys and paralegals through such programs as legal services organizations, the National Business Institute, and the Connecticut Bar Association. I enjoy speaking to groups at hospitals, community organizations, social service agencies, and to impairment support groups.
